Hello Stampers! I am so glad to be in the beginning stages of Autumn, with the leaves starting to change color, and the air feeling crisper. I love to sit down in the corner of the couch, with a nice hot cup of tea, on these cool mornings, and spend some time just looking out the window at all the beauty. I hope you find some time to do some things just for yourself as well, and feel refreshed and renewed, as this new season begins. If you are interested in some of the things I am offering this fall, read on. I would love to see you at my Stampin' Up events sometime soon!

Christmas Wish Lists!
I know, it seems crazy to be thinking about Christmas already! But, if you want to skip the tea cozy from Aunt Bea, and get some things you can actually use, now's the time to get organized!
This year I am offering a bit of a different option for this. You can fill out your wish items, including 3 names of people who will be buying gifts for you this year, and get it back to me by Oct 31st. When you do, I will enter your name into the prize draw! I will then contact your loved ones, and find out if they'd like to do their shopping thru me. If they do, you will get your name in a draw for each person who orders over $30 for you!
Prizes: I will be drawing TWO names this year, each getting a $20 Stampin' Up shopping spree! On top of that, I will give your loved ones 5% off all the items they order for you! You're happy, they're happy, everyone wins! Click here to get started on your wish list, and submit it to me by Oct 31st to get maximum draw tickets!
(Maximum draw entries: 4)

Cardmaking Tip of the Month! Cutting your cardstock
One of the things I get asked alot is how to know how to cut your cardstock when you are first starting out. There are lots of ways to go about ndoing this, but this is what I do:
A standard size card is 4 1/4" X 5 1/2", which is exactly half a sheet of regular 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock. So, turn your paper "landscape" (as opposed to portrait), and cut it right down the middle at 5 1/2". With each of those two pieces, score them directly in half at 4 1/4". Then you have two card bases to work with!
For the stamping and focal point, I stamp my main image onto a large scrap piece, and then cut around it afterward. When it comes to matting it, you can do as many layers as you like, but I prefer 1 or 2 colors behind the white (or focal) piece. All you do if figure out what size you have, and add 1/4" to each measwurement (ie: if you have a 2X2 piece, your next mat will be 2 1/4" X 2 1/4", and so on. The other option that some people use is just to cut around the piece as you go, making each layer bigger than the first. (But, sometimes this can lead to uneven borders!) Try it yourself, and let me know how you like my tip!
